Today, since Jeanelle wanted to go to the beach one more time before she leaves, we went back to the North Shore for one last day in the sun! Except for today, Natalie and my neighbor Bridget went with us! Nan didn't have school today, and Bridget just wanted to relax on the beach with us. Last time we went, we were the only ones on the beach.
Apparently they were setting up for a Surfing competition!
Even so, we were STILL the only ones on the beach to the right again!
The surf was UP that day! The waves were HUGE!
As we were walking onto the beach, the lifeguard was carrying a sign to post, and warned us not to swim past a certain point or the current would take us out to sea!!
I said, "We'll just play in the waves on the shore." Good plan.

One thing about the beach, is that you OFTEN get to see people in bathing suits that they ought not be in!! I mean, what MAN wakes up in the morning and says, "I'm going to wear my black speedo to the beach today."?????

THIS guy on the other hand.... he can wear a speedo if he wants ;o)
One of the waves came way up on the shore and took Natalie's floatie ring with it! So then I had to get up from my nice sunbathing and run into the ocean to get it!

Since we had Nan, we didn't have to be back till 2:05.
But we ended up leaving around 12:30.

It was a very relaxing day, and Jeanelle ended up getting a TERRIBLE sunburn!! But hey, she said she wanted to go home with a tan, so... I guess she got what she wanted!
