Turtle Wednesday

Ahhhhh Wednesday...
my LEAST favorite day of the week. Too much happens on Wednesday.

Today we went to the Swap Meet right after we dropped Natalie at preschool. I love the swap meet because no matter how many times you go, you can always find something new to buy!

After the swap meet, we went to Fabric Mart, Pearl City Wal Mart, Safeway, Mililani Wal Mart, then to school to get Nathan, Matthew, & Kenzie by 12:45 because every Wednesday is Early Release day (i hate it). I had Natalie in Hourly Childcare for 2 extra hours after preschool today, so I didn't need to get her till 2.

After we got the kids from school, Grandma started making homemade Play Doh, because we finally found some ALUM at Safeway!
I am totally ANTI-Play Doh, but Grandma wanted to make it, so I let her.
Then I went and picked up Natalie who was sound asleep on her little nap mat. I told her Grandma was making play doh at home, and that woke her up real quick. So she went home and joined the other kids in playing with their play doh.
About an hour later, we found a big pile of smashed play doh on the carpet, which just reaffirmed my hatred towards play doh. Sorry Grandma. I still hate it.

Matthew has Cub Scouts every Wednesday from 3:00-4:00, but today we wanted to take Grandma to go see the Sea Turtles. I invited Bridget to go with us, so she followed me to the church to get HER Matthew, and then followed us to the North Shore to see the Sea Turtles!

You can't really see them as you're walking up to them because they just look like big ROCKS:
Matthew next to the Honu:

Too bad there was only ONE today....

He was sleepin...zzzzzzzz

Mom found herself a new brown Man!!
he was a "Honu Guardian"

How can you go to the beach and keep the kids, and GRANDMA, out of the water????

Kenzie dancing around on the beach:

Natalie jumping over the waves:

Zoey always gets a faceful of sand!

Here's Natalie....
all wet and sandy!

Time to walk back to the car

Seeing the Honu was short and sweet. There's really not much else to do after you take a few pictures.

On our drive to see the turtles, I pointed out the spot where the tv show LOST is filmed. And I said, "And you know whenever they're filming because this little gate will be open, and a guard will be standing there." And, SURE ENOUGH!! We drove by, and the gate was OPEN and there was a GUARD standing there!! THEY WERE FILMING LOST!! That made ME very excited, but Mom doesn't watch LOST so she didn't share the excitement. But Jeanelle would!!!

AANNDD.... my friend Sara told me on Monday that her friend texted her while she was in church on Sunday and told her that she was at the beach and JACK JOHNSON was sitting right next to her!! OH MY GOSH! I would have DIED! That would have been my dream come true!!

Anyway... the whole LOST being filmed right next to me made me pretty excited, and I tried to take a picture of it as I drove by it again on my way home, but look what I got:
Dang!! Just a big blurry picture with the fuzzy blue guard on the left!
Oh well... at least I know what the picture is of.

And that was our boring but busy Wednesday!!

I was supposed to go surfing tomorrow.... but that's a different story.
You'll hafta ask me about it in an email, if you want the poop scoop.

Oh! And while my mom was here, she took my yarn and decided to make a hat for the homeless to take home.
I had to make sure it worked.
This is me being homeless:

the thing with the playdough is it will be a fun thing they remember about Grandma so you just have to grin and bear it. And it's not like it's YOUR carpet anyway...your new beautiful home in Spanaway with have hardwood floors everywhere so it won't matter!! ;)

I hate playdough too, but I don't have carpet. Homemade is better than the store bought though because that stuff crumbles like crazy and gets into everything.

Are you getting a home in Spanaway?

I would DIE if I saw Jack Johnson! I have dirty dreams about him. Only kidding... a little. Wait... You have a lot of people reading your blog don't you?
