Homeward Bound

We had a great visit on the mainland. And we were lucky to bring our Hawaiian weather with us too. Because the whole two weeks that we were in Oregon/Washington, it didn't rain one drop!
Not even a cloud in the sky!
"Blue skiiiiiiiies, smiling at meeeeeee.... nothing but blue skiiiiiiies do I seeeeeeee!"
a little flashback from jazz choir. LOL!

Our plane was scheduled to leave at 9:20, so we left the house at about 7:15 and headed to Sea Tac. After a tearful goodbye, we headed inside only to find a HUGE long line of people waiting to be checked in. Being the friendly person I am, I asked the lady in front of me if I was in the Hawaiian line or the China line. She informed me I was in the Hawaii line. We'd already done web check-in the day before, so the lady pointed me to a counter with NO ONE in line to check my bags since I was already checked in.

**Note to all.... ALWAYS USE WEB CHECK IN SO THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO STAND IN LINE AND WORRY ABOUT MISSING YOUR FLIGHT!!**

So we checked in all 6 pieces of luggage, with not ONE going over weight! We had to pay $25 on our way to Oregon because or big bag was too heavy :o( So I was happy to see that we were good.

The plane boarded on time at about 8:40, and we were the 2nd group to call because were "travelling with children under the age of 5", which lets us pre-board.

So we boarded the plane, took a few pictures,
and then sat and waited.... and waited... and waited.... We ended up sitting on the plane for TWO HOURS before it even pushed back!!!

FIRST they said they were waiting for the last of the cargo to load...
THEN they said that they were waiting for a piece of paper with all of the weights and stuff...
THEN they informed us that we were changing our route to Hawaii due to Military activity (dang military!)
THEN they said that they needed 1200 more pounds of fuel for our new route...
and then
THEN they said that they were waiting for that piece of paper with the weights again!!!

That was our two hours of waiting. Then we finally took off for our 5 hour and 40 minute flight!!

Five hours and forty minutes later... WE SAW LAND!!!!
ISland to be exact.

Here's tired Natalie happy for the flight to be almost over!

YAAAAAY!
Back to O'ahu!!!!

View of Diamond Head Crater from the plane:

OH. and while we were on the plane, we converted Snoop Dogg to become a Mormon
juuuuuuuust kiiiiiddddiiiing!!!
It's a funny picture though, right?

So now we're all happy to be home with our little puppy who was VERY happy to see us!

The kids (minus McKenzie, who was at Faith in God) at McDonalds

IT'S NICE TO LEAVE
BUT IT'S NICER TO COME HOME!
ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR HOME IS IN HAWAII!!
