Right now, Matt is an E4 or
SPECIALIST (spc)
He went to "The Board" yesterday, which is a Promotion Board that everyone has to go to before they can make E5 or SERGRANT (sgt).
This was his second time going, and he came out of it and said, "I blew it!"
Apparantly, his SGT forgot to send his paperwork, so they didn't have him down to go.
And it ended up that it got there somehow, and some guy says "You're next!" so he's running (literally) to get all of his gear. So when he got in there, he's panting, and all flustered because he had to run and get all of his gear when he thought he wasn't even going. And then they start throwing questions at him... And he said he answered most of them, but that there were some that he had no idea about! So he thought he blew it.
APPARANTLY NOT!!!
He just called me after lunch when he got his paperwork, and it said,
"Recommended for promotion" !!!!!
!YAY!
Now we don't have to worry about going to the board until he's ready for E6!
So NOW what happens, is he needs to look at his points.
I guess you need like 602 points for promotion or something like that, and Matt has 531.
He also gets points for just going to the Board, so hopefully he's not far off and can get more points and then get promoted to
SERGEANT!
But he's still trying for Warrant Officer.
And once he gets that, he will be a
CW1
So if we have it OUR way, he'll go from
