For JAYLENE!

So I'm feeling the guilt for not posting a blog about when my sister, Jaylene, came to visit me for a week in the end of January. I DID post a quick video blog the first day they got here, but that was about it. Mose people never even saw her! Except Shenalle ;o) They're new BFFs ;o)

(My dad also came to visit for 4 days during her trip. I always love to see my dad)
Anywho, my sister and her family came here to Hawaii to visit me for a week for Jaylene's birthday! It was great to have them here, and to let the cousins play together.

I'm not sure what was wrong with me that week, but I didn't take hardly ANY pictures!! And now I am regretting it! I had my camera with me the whole time, but just didn't take it out. I think it's because Jaylene was taking all of the pictures, and I'd seen everything we were seeing so I didn't think about it. I DID get a few though.

Here are a few from our quick beach trip down to Ko'olina:

Jaylene ready to go snorkeling in the
not-so-warm Hawaiian ocean

1-2-3 DIP!

Here is Jaxen playing in the sand.

It's always fun at the beach.
(ha ha!)

And it looks like Jaylene realized that I wasn't taking pictures of her
so she took matters into her own hands:

After those pictures, I'm sure Jaylene can appreciate this next one:

HAHAHA! You know I have horse teeth too!
Do you think we look alike?

All in all, I think we all had a fun time! I think Jaylene felt guilty for leaving the kids with me while she played 'tourist' in Hawaii, but I had a lot of fun with the kids, and I got to bust out the rocking chair to rock her baby!!! It was great!

Here's a picture of her baby, Rylee, taking a bath in my sink.
Jaylene said Rylee hates baths, and cries the whole time, but I figured out that the secret is to give her a washcloth to suck on. She loved it!
Here's my proof:

(Don't mind the Clorox Bleach next to her.....)
((how else are you supposed to clean babies, than with bleach!?))
KIDDING!!!
Here's a super short video to prove no crying sounds were coming out of her

Jaxen was another story. Poor little Jax. At the beginning he just wandered around my house aimlessly and whining looking for his mommy. But those of you who know me, know that I don't take kindly to whining, so I just ignored his whining. Which means I ignored him for the first few days, but when he wasn't whining, we'd play. So by the end of the trip we were friends, and he wanted me to hold him and play. He's a cute little guy.

Here's Jaxen:
Makenna was good too. She definitely has a strong personality and likes to be the boss, but Kenzie was a bossy kid too, so I knew how to handle her. She was good for me, and LOVED playing with her cousins. She slept in Kenzie's bed the whole time. It was fun to get to see them play together.

I know this picture has already been used, but it's so cute, I need to use it again!
Here is Makenna, Nathan, and Natalie posing in the swingset:

Now Jaylene and her family are back in cold Washington State, and she calls me every few days to tell me how much she misses Hawaii, and to thank me for watching her kids. I bet we'll see her again before we leave!

One of the funny points of the trip was when I came home from somewhere (can't remember where) and I was caught by surprise when I walked in the door....
Here is what I saw:

Poor Natalie! She looked DEAD! I said "WHAT HAPPENED TO NATALIE??"
"She's alseep." they all say to me!
It was so funny looking I had to take a picture.
She looks like she fell down the stairs!!!

Anyway, that was their trip in a nutshell. Sorry my blogs haven't been super exciting, but hey... I have a super BUSY life, not super EXCITING!
